Anti-wrinkle Injections

Before receiving anti-wrinkle injections, taking a few preparatory steps can enhance the effectiveness of the treatment and reduce the likelihood of side effects.

Here’s what to do beforehand:

  • Avoid blood thinners: Refrain from taking blood-thinning medications such as aspirin, ibuprofen, and certain herbal supplements for at least a week before your appointment, as they can increase the risk of bruising.

  • Limit alcohol intake: Avoid alcohol for at least 24 hours prior to your injection, as it can also increase the risk of bruising and swelling.

  • Consult with your Practitioner: Discuss any medications, allergies, or medical conditions with your practitioner to ensure there are no contraindications or concerns.

  • Avoid skin treatments: Steer clear of other facial treatments, such as chemical peels or microdermabrasion, in the days leading up to your appointment to minimise skin sensitivity.

  • Stay hydrated and rested: Ensure you are well-hydrated and rested before the procedure to help your body respond better to the treatment.

  • Follow pre-treatment instructions: Adhere to any specific pre-treatment guidelines provided by your practitioner to ensure the best possible results. These will be discussed at your consultation.

A gummy smile is where too much gum is exposed, this can be treated with botulinum toxin (botox) injected just above to vermillion boarder of your lip to reduce the activity of the muscle that elevates the upper lip.
This is a quick and effective treatment. Lasts 8-12 weeks (varies on clients responses to treatment)

Smokers lines/pursed lips £150

Treating the perioral lip line with Botox reduces the movement of the orbicularis oris muscle. This treatment is usually reversed for people who over use these muscles and often hold a purse lip expression when relaxed. Lasts up to 12 weeks

Male facial muscles are significantly more stronger than a women face in some cases deeper lines - in rare cases at the 2 week review should another vial of botox be needed to gain the results, this would be a double treatment and therefore would be charged accordingly.

For the first 24 hours, avoid touching or massaging the treated areas to prevent the toxin from spreading to unintended muscles. Refrain from engaging in strenuous exercise, hot baths, or saunas, as these can increase blood flow and potentially interfere with the treatment's effectiveness. It's also important to avoid alcohol and blood-thinning medications, as these can increase the risk of bruising. Staying upright and avoiding laying down for at least four hours post-treatment helps ensure it remains in place. Follow any additional specific instructions provided at your appointment.
